Teflon gasket

Teflon gaskets, manufactured using a unique process, can provide a level of fibrillation to overcome the creep relaxation and cold flow problems associated with ordinary (scraped or molded) Teflon plates. It is made of pure polytetrafluoroethylene resin filled with hollow glass microspheres.

 
Teflon gaskets are mainly cut from some PTFE rods and tubes. After cutting, they are shaped like flat gaskets or V-shaped gaskets, and some are cut into piston rings, which have good properties such as corrosion resistance and non-conductivity. It has excellent corrosion resistance, anti-aging, insulation, cleanliness and other good characteristics, so it is widely used in chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, food and many other fields. PTFE has strong corrosion resistance. Only a few elements such as molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine under high temperature and high pressure will work on it.

Use of Teflon Gasket
